Precisely pre-profiled cemented carbide parts have smaller grinding allowances than sintered cylindrical rods or blocks. The subsequent production times are therefore much shorter than more time-consuming conventional manufacturing processes.

As a result, we can produce your parts faster and more efficiently. All of the blanks we manufacture are sintered exclusively in sinter HIP systems.

This leads to a uniform, pore-free structure with outstanding physical properties and in excellent quality.

Finished cemented carbide
tools

Alongside preforms, we can also produce finished, ready-to-use tools precisely to your requirements.

We use our own grinding systems to perform all of the processes required to produce your parts, such as:

  • Round and flat grinding
  • Centreless grinding
  • CNC round and tool grinding
  • Honing
  • Wire-cut and die-sinking EDM
  • Lapping
  • Polishing
  • etc.

We can also develop and produce combined parts made of cemented carbide and steel together with you. In this area in particular, our 50 years of experience in selecting and combining these materials comes into its own. We are also capable of performing all the necessary processes in-house (press fitting, shrinking, soldering and glueing).

CONVEYING

When processing abrasive media, such as when spraying glass fibre-reinforced plastics, the components used are subjected to extremely high stresses. Cemented carbide is the perfect material for these components thanks to its extreme toughness.

Cemented carbide has proven itself for many years in areas like valve, pump and fittings engineering in particular, as well as measurement and control technology.

We produce ready-to-use components that we can adapt to changing needs at any time, or optimise continuously together with you.

BLASTING & GRINDING

Blasting and grinding processes place extreme demands on the tools. Here too, cemented carbide has proven itself in many sectors. It is much more resistant to breaking than ceramic and resists wear much better than steel or other materials.

With this tough and durable material, you can vastly improve the service life of your current components. This in turn increases the availability and capacity utilisation of your systems.

Based on your wishes and applications, we develop and manufacture long-lasting wearing parts that are either made from solid cemented carbide or tipped with it.

STAMPING & CUTTING

Cemented carbide is the ideal material for tools for all processes that involve crimping, deep drawing and shaping. It is also perfect for cutting paper, as well as granulating and recycling plastic.

Compared to tool steel, cemented carbide is several times more resistant to pressure and wear. These properties deliver stable cutting edges and ensure that the finished products are accurately dimensioned.

Choosing the right cemented carbide materials is decisive for the service life of your tools and components. Alongside precision, the cutting edges, radii and transitions are key factors. With our modern machinery, we ensure a perfect component and therefore an excellent finished product.

POWDER PROCESSING

We use our own powder preparation systems to manage and control our cemented carbide compositions in house. The grinding/homogenisation and drying processes deliver a defined quantity of powder ready for compression.

Production begins by homogenising or grinding tungsten carbide, cobalt, tantalum carbide, titanium carbide, chromium carbide, etc. according to our own specifications. This material is then dried.
